Crumbz Cookies is a heartwarming concept born out of friendship and shared values.
Our founders Brigitte Nielsen and Debbie Wingham, two working mums with deep family values, formed a special bond centred around their mutual appreciation for good hearty food and togetherness.
Debbie, known for her grand cakes, would often create extravagant desserts. Brigitte, a keen baker herself, challenged Debbie to create something more shareable and modest in size.
Brigitte’s love for baking, particularly her signature brownies, which have an element of cake and undertone of cookies, inspired Debbie to adapt one of her favourite cookie recipes, resulting in a cookie-cake hybrid.

This led to the conception of Crumbz Cookies, the cookie that thinks it’s a cake! Essentially, it is a cookie that can be enjoyed warm and gooey or chilled and sliceable, which makes it easier to share.
Known for her grand cake confections it made sense that Debbie would bring some element of cake to the concept and after unveiling the Cookie recipe to Brigitte, the duo began experimenting with flavours and adding more layers and textures to the recipe, including nods to nostalgic flavours, using local seasonal fruits and creating some on trend flavour profiles for the younger cookie eater.
It was also important to the duo to introduce cookies that suited every palette, even for the more health conscious amongst us, including dairy free, gluten-free, and natural sugars.
This collaborative effort gave birth to Crumbz Cookies, a brand that focuses on locally sourced ingredients and eco-conscious packaging.
Born from Brigitte’s and Debbies’ humble roots, the brand delivers delicious, rustic treats while championing accessibility, friendship, sharing, and sustainability.
